[Encore] WebGL Workshop # 1: Intro to the GPU Rendering Pipeline and WebGL API

  • Join us for this encore presentation of part 1 of our new workshop series on programming with the WebGL API. In this first live-coding session, attendees will develop an understanding of a modern GPU rendering pipeline and create a simple WebGL application that draws and animates basic shapes (without any intermediate libraries such as three.js). This course is intended for people with no WebGL experience, or who have used WebGL through an intermediate library like three.js and want to dig deeper into the WebGL API itself. Some JavaScript programming experience is recommended.

    This session will be lead by Tarek Sherif, 3D Software Engineer at BioDigital. It is a live-coding tutorial. Attendance will be limited to 20 people, and attendees are expected to bring a laptop. It is also recommended to install a programming text editor such as Sublime Text or Notepad++.

    Food and beverages will be provided by the Khronos Group.
